It comes in a nice red box with the NEVER SETTLE keyword as usual. You get a SIM ejection tool inside, no case in the box, and a red C to C type cable and a charger in the box and the phone itself. You get 2 different colours: Nebula Noir (black) and Astral Trail (titanium).

Detailed Specifications

You get a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2780×1264 pixels at 450 ppi. The peak brightness mentioned is 4500 nits, and the display is 120 Hz. Performance-wise, the phone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with RAM of 12 GB or 16 GB and storage variants of 256 GB/512 GB at UFS 4.0 storage speed. Also, the phone has a nice 6,000 mAh battery supporting 80W supercharge. In the camera department, it has a primary camera, a telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide camera of 50, 50, and 8 MP. The video recording support is at 4K @ 60 fps, and the front camera is of 16 MP, supporting 1080p @ 30 fps. Phone is dust- and water-resistant. The IR blaster is also there, which is a good deal. Overall, the phone has good specifications for the modern world.

The Look, Feel and Performance of the Phone

The phone has a slab phone design and looks very solid, making it easy to grip and type. There is some design pattern on the phone’s aluminium back and it has a nice premium feel. It is a little bit lighter than the OnePlus 13. On one side, you have the power button and volume rocker; on the other side, you have the classic OnePlus alert slider, and on the bottom, you have the SIM tray, charging slot, and speakers with an IR blaster on the top. The fingerprint sensor is optical and on the screen, which is really fast and works every time, added with face unlock. Always on display is there. Bezel-less, excellent display with powerful performance. The OnePlus 13R AnTuTu benchmark score is 1,709,077. You get 4 years of Oxygen OS updates, which is long-term support.

When you swipe the phone from the right, you can get the suit of AI with the top feature as AI summariser. It works on every website and will give you an accurate summary. The AI speak option reads the whole website for you and even works in the background if you use any other app. Further, AI replies give you multiple suggestions in your apps, like messaging apps, with diverse tones like polite, formal, and more.

Camera

The camera is for sure a good one, but if you compare it with the OnePlus 13, you will see fewer details. However, in the real world, you will not notice much of the difference. But the front camera is only 30 FPS and could be 60 FPS. The phone supports 20x zoom, which is quite real and good.

Pricing of the Phone

The OnePlus 13R in India costs INR 43,000 for the 12 GB and 256 GB RAM variant. The 12 GB RAM and 512 GB RAM variant is INR 50,000.

Is it the flagship killer?

The OnePlus 13R is for sure a great purchase at the price tag it is coming with. But, it is not the flagship killer because there have been some phones like Oppo variants. It does not have wireless charging, which is very important for some users in 2025.
