So Oppo Reno 10 series is here. With some major design changes, it brings quite a nice attention to smartphone enthusiasts. The company has announced three devices in the Reno 10 series- Oppo Reno 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro+. This Oppo Reno, 10 series review, will be focusing on the 10pro+ and also talk about the other two wherever we feel. Although smartphones are great, there is a big thing that will stop you from buying this series, and that is the software experience.
Design, Display, and battery
With the back glass and side plastic polycarbonate, Oppo Reno 10 pro+ looks elegant. But it seems that they have followed Motorola in the design department. Even the camera design looks quite outdated, and we do not personally like the design of the Oppo Reno 10 series. The weight of the pro+ is 194 grams which is slightly on the heavier side; however, the phone looks quite slim and has a good feel while holding it.
The display is large, with a 6.7-inch punch-hole design and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The support for HDR+ is there but not on Netflix. You won’t face any issues in viewing the device in direct sunlight since it brings 1400 Nits of brightness.
The battery is a highlight of this phone. Pro+ has a 47000 mAh battery which will last you a day. And its 100-watt charging is super fast to charge your phone full in a few minutes. In Reno 10 pro, you get a 4600 mAh battery and 80 Watt charging.
Camera and Performance
50mp main camera, 64mp telephoto supporting 120x zoom, 8 mp ultrawide, and 34 mp selfie camera are good enough in Oppo Reno 10 pro+. You can record 4k videos at 60 fps with the rear camera and 1080p with the selfie camera. All the pictures look great in the daylight and in the light, too; Oppo has done good work.
While talking about performance, you unlock a top-notch gaming experience with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset in Pro+. Whereas the pro features 778G. Also, both models come with 8GB and 256GB variants.
Why should you not go for Oppo Reno 10 series?
Ok, now that you know much about the specifications and general Oppo Reno 10 series review. It is time to talk about the drawbacks of the phone. These drawbacks are also highlighted by tech YouTuber Gyan Therapy.
On the phone, there are so many advertisements. Whenever you search in the in-built browser app of the phone, you get suggestions in the address bar. And these stay even in the private tab mode. Also, the refresh rate, even after setting it to 120 Hz, stays at 60 Hz making the phone feel choppy most of the time.
Should you buy Oppo Reno 10 series phones?
It is clear that when you pay 30k INR for Reno 10, 40k for Reno 10 pro, and 50k for Reno 10 pro+, you should get a flagship experience. And the software is definitely a huge disappointment for Oppo. We would advise you to skip the phone until and unless you are fine with the advertisements and refresh rate issue.
